An American private equity firm commissioned SATOV to conduct commercial diligence on a national multi-site healthcare business in Canada. The diligence was structured to validate that the target had a strong brand, high-quality locations and the ability to continue to acquire practitioners to add to its platform.
We conducted inspections of all the target sites, including an analysis of the physical look and feel and mystery shopping to validate the level of professionalism; fielded a large consumer survey to understand attitudes toward the category and decision-making drivers; and interviewed many professionals about their perceptions of the brand, head- and tailwinds in the category and their willingness to join or to refer patients.
Our diligence helped the buyer have confidence in the target and served as a foundation in growth discussions between management and the owners.
