Our in-house consumer research team plays a pivotal role in driving insight-led strategies that guide major investment and business decisions. Our clients are in the consumer goods and retail sectors along with chain healthcare, and real estate. We also partner with our strategy clients to serve private equity firms and their portfolio companies.  

Position summary

As a Consumer Insights Analyst at SATOV, you will play a crucial role in our projects, taking ownership of substantial research workstreams and demonstrating proficiency in storytelling and insights related to critical consumer research, including social trends, statistics, and modeling. You will work closely with other analysts, managers, or partners to set project parameters and touch points, gradually working more independently to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients. 

You will be responsible for hands-on, end-to-end project involvement, from proposal or brief to final report. We prioritize providing practical advice based on strong analytics. 

Additionally, you will engage in qualitative research, including IDIs, focus groups, and ethnographies. This will involve project design, recruiting, moderating, engaging participants, analyzing and reporting findings. 

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a consumer research company 
  • Good understanding of consumer research process 
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree 
  • Strong competency in Excel, PowerPoint, Displayr (or SPSS) 
  • Strong organizational skills, especially in self-organization and time management 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex analyses and insights effectively 
  • Perseverance and goal orientation, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for clients and the firm 
  • Strong research capabilities to gather and synthesize relevant information 

Additional details

Location: In-person (Downtown Toronto). You will be expected to be in the office 3 or more days per week
