Chris Kirk
Principal
Chris brings over 20 years of experience advising and leading businesses through strategy, performance improvement, M&A, and organizational change, with a particular focus in financial services.
He began his career at Bain & Company, rising to a leadership role in the firm’s financial services practice while also serving clients in manufacturing, telecom, transportation, and retail. Chris then moved into executive roles at CIBC, Scotiabank, and Canada Life, where he focused on modernizing business models and accelerating growth through distribution strategy, sales effectiveness, customer experience, and digital transformation.
Chris combines sharp analytical thinking with a down-to-earth style that helps leadership teams challenge assumptions and build thriving businesses.
He pushes teams to break down complex problems into structured frameworks and use the outputs to drive clear, practical decisions. Inside SATOV, it’s often said: if a decision can be modeled, Chris will make sure it is.
Chris holds a BASc from Queen’s University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
