Announcing the SATOV Quarterly

Helping brands, product teams and agencies know their consumers is a core part of what we do at SATOV.  Our specialized Consumer Insights team designs and executes tailored primary research studies with speed and agility to help business leaders or investors in consumer-driven businesses make more informed and timely decisions.

Building on this foundation, the SATOV Quarterly is a new research and insights program designed to illuminate the forces shaping consumers, business, and public affairs across Canada and the United States. Each issue blends nationally representative survey data with SATOV’s analytic perspective to help organizations understand shifting public sentiment and identify emerging opportunities.  Readers will benefit from:

  • Core tracking indicators in public affairs, commerce, and household outlook
  • Cross-border comparisons between Canadian and U.S. consumers
  • A deep dive into one high-impact sector
  • SATOV commentary connecting consumer data to real-world strategic implications

Issue #1: A Comprehensive View of Home Services in North America

For our inaugural issue, we’ll dive into Home Services, a sector that touches almost every household but remains highly fragmented and under-studied.  This market is evolving rapidly, driven by:

  • Changing consumer expectations for speed, professionalism, and transparency
  • A shift to digital and mobile-first discovery and booking behaviours
  • Affordability pressures influencing DIY vs. PRO decision-making
  • The expansion of PE-backed and professionally managed national platforms

As these forces converge, new winners will emerge, creating opportunity for operators, investors, policymakers, and adjacent sectors.

Our Q1 2026 report will provide comprehensive data on home service category awareness, usage and satisfaction, insights on homeowners’ end-to-end service experience, and SATOV’s perspective on signals, trends and opportunities.  It is designed for leaders working anywhere in or around the home, including:

  • Home Services platforms and operators
  • Trade professionals and franchise networks
  • Private equity and strategic acquirers
  • Home improvement & retail brands
  • Utilities, insurers & adjacent service providers
  • Public-sector and regulatory leaders

We will share early insights with partners and subscribers ahead of the full publication.
