Dave McFarland

Dave brings over three decades of experience delivering large-scale real estate projects across Canada. He has played a central role in shaping portfolios, guiding investment decisions, and executing developments that have had a lasting impact on major urban markets.

His career was built at Oxford Properties, one of Canada’s preeminent real estate investors and developers, where he built the construction team across the country. In that role, he was responsible for translating investment decisions into built outcomes, managing the full lifecycle of development programs.

Dave has led the development of more than 12 million square feet of real estate, representing over $7 billion in invested capital. His experience includes over $4 billion in office developments across Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto, as well as the delivery of high-profile mixed-use projects such as the Park Hyatt Toronto and 2 Avenue Road residences. He has also overseen more than $2 billion in retail expansions and renovations and supported the delivery of over 1,500 residential units across Vancouver and the Greater Toronto Area.

Dave has spent three decades building and managing relationships across the full real estate ecosystem, including owners, lenders, contractors, consultants, and end users. He has a grounded perspective on what drives value and what creates friction in complex projects and transactions.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Master of Business Administration from Concordia University.
